Founders Christopher Loftus and Caleb Thomson have a combined 60 years of experience as former Directors of Admissions at premier New England boarding schools.
We’ve been working together (and coaching against each other) for decades. Now, we are excited to join forces — focusing our efforts solely on private school admissions consulting.
Christopher Loftus
C&C Co-Founder and former Director of Admissions at Eaglebrook School
Christopher started his educational career in 1992 at the Eaglebrook School. He quickly became immersed in all aspects of school life as a teacher, coach, dorm parent, and administrator, directing the Athletic program for ten years.
He spent eight years away from student life to expand his business career, but in 2016, he returned after witnessing the impact the school had on his own son. He eventually became Eaglebrook’s Director of Admissions, also serving as the Enrollment Management and Director of Secondary School Advising.

Boarding education values have always been at the heart of Christopher’s career. Now, after an exciting 32-year career, he is partnering with Caleb Thomson, a close friend and colleague, to continue supporting students and families in their quest to find their ideal learning environments.
Christopher grew up in a Navy family that eventually settled in Vermont. Christopher loves skiing and being outdoors. He received his degree from the University of Vermont.
Christopher and his wife Kristin currently live on Cape Cod. They have two children who both attended New England boarding schools. Their son, Parker, is a U.S. Naval Officer stationed in Virginia Beach and their daughter, Abby, is a designer at an architectural firm in Aspen, Colorado.
Christopher enjoys being on the water with his family and traveling to see his children. He’s a true dog lover and sees a replacement yellow lab puppy joining the family in the near future.
Caleb Thomson
C&C Co-Founder and former Director of Admissions at The Fessenden School
For over 35 years, Caleb Thomson has dedicated his professional career to independent boarding school education. An alumnus of The Fessenden School, Caleb returned in 1998 to begin his admissions career, and was appointed Director of Admission & Enrollment Manager in 2007.
His role at The Fessenden School was all-encompassing. In his 35 years, he served on the senior administrative team, as a dorm parent, and as a student advisor. He also coached Fessenden’s varsity soccer, hockey, and tennis teams, directed soccer camp, and coached girls town and club soccer in Newton, MA for over 20 years.

Caleb was integral to The Fessenden School's successful enrollment trajectory, increasing the school’s population by almost 30%. He also pioneered their geographic diversity recruitment efforts, increasing the representation of countries from 3 to 13.
Having guided thousands domestic and international families through their application journey, Caleb’s experience and understanding of the admissions process is invaluable.
Having lived and worked at a boarding school campus for much of his life, Caleb is keenly aware of how students and families can best present and differentiate themselves during the application process. His approach is strategic, personal and intentional, always keeping each student's best interest in mind. Caleb’s highest priority is finding the best fit for each individual student and family.
In addition to The Fessenden School, Caleb is a graduate of Suffield Academy and Ohio Wesleyan University. At OWU, he played four years of collegiate soccer, and in his senior year was selected to the All-Ohio Team. Caleb and his wife, Ann, live in Boston, are proud parents of two adult girls, Katie and Meggie. They also have a 12-year-old yellow labrador named Cooper. Caleb enjoys traveling, biking, hiking, skiing, golf, pickleball and spending time with his family.
